Book review: Beautiful Creatures By Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Name: Beautiful Creatures
Author(s): Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl
Genre: Supernatural
Blurb: Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power, and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.

Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.

In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

Review:
I loved this first installment to The Caster Chronicles
It was an original idea for a book unlike the many supernatural novels who copy Twilight and Vampire Diaries
I have not yet watched the film but I hope it meets the quality of the book. The relationship between Ethan and Lena is adorable and the book just makes you want to know what happens next. So much so, I have already invested in the next book.
Sick of Vampire/ Werewolf Novels? Need a new series of books to get stuck into? This is the book for you
Star Rating: ****1/2

Price: around £7.99
